Rise Against Hunger – Austin Rotary Clubs Service Project – April 2022

Rotary - ACRC - Service Project - Rise Against Hunger - Website - Banner - Volunteers

April 30 @ 7:30 am 3:30 pm

4 Austin Rotary Clubs (Austin Cosmopolitan, NxNE, Rotary Club of Austin, Westlake) are unifying their efforts to support Rise Against Hunger‘s mission to end hunger by providing food & life-changing aid.

This impactful project creates lasting impact by nourishing lives, empowering communities & emergency relief. Rise Against Hunger meal packaging program harnesses the passion of local volunteers and has impacted 2.8 million lives in 2020 alone!

They may look like simple bags of rice and soy, but Rise Against Hunger meals represent the hopes and dreams of people worldwide. Volunteers are the heart of their mission to end hunger and they could not send millions of meals around the globe each year without them.

This is where you come into play.

What are we doing

Packaging meals composed of various basic elements and vacuum sealing those bags, before storing them into cardboard boxes and pallets. Once completed, they will be shipped to populations in need over the world.

For the early risers, breakfast tacos and drinks will be offered, and snacks will be available the rest of the day, complimentary of the Rotary Club of Austin.

After completing your registration, please send an email to your Service Chair, cbernier@austincrc.org.
