Service project: Project Schoolhouse’s Cien Amigos dinner
November 12 @ 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Come join us as we help with Project Schoolhouse’s Cien Amigos event, the group’s only fundraiser of the year. The dinner and presentation will serve 170-200 people; money raised during the event will help fund their work in 2020.
About Project Schoolhouse
Project Schoolhouse was formed in 2004 to invest in education and water in rural communities in Nicaragua. The group works to reduce poverty and inequality in rural communities by promoting literacy, basic education, and improved health. This is achieved by building community water systems, schools, and secondary education scholarships.
Volunteers will help with set up, food service, parking, sign-in and tear down. Set up begins at 4 and the event will conclude with tear down at 10. Volunteers will be able to eat with the group, as well as enjoy the event’s speakers and film presentation.
We prefer you volunteer for the entire time slot, but if you can’t, please email ACRC Service Chair Chris Essig.
