March 11|Rotary Club Round Table Session: All Things Public Image

March 11, 2021 @ 6:00 pm 7:00 pm

Join us for another Rotary Round Table. The topic will be Rotary Public Image. Featuring Guest Speakers: Patrick Harrison & Amber Scarborough

Speaker Bios:

Patrick Harrison has over 24 years’ experience in different facets of the entertainment industry. He has had the pleasure of working and living in both Los Angeles and New York City and during this time built a diverse resume including work with Judge Judy, casting for Paramount Studios, NBC Network Television and getting to co-star in his feature length independent film directorial debut. In addition, he worked freelance media and was featured in global ad campaigns for Target, Sony, and Xbox360.

Patrick Harrison is an Assistant Rotary Public Image Coordinator for Rotary International Zone 21b and part of 27. He is also Rotary District 5870 Central Texas Public Relations and Branding Co-Chair, as well as Past President of The Rotary Club of Austin Centennial for two years in a row.

Mr. Harrison along with Amber Scarborough have been road warriors since 2015 spreading their one of a kind message about Rotary and Public Image. Their engaging style and valuable tools have inspired Rotarians from Districts all over Texas and beyond resulting in a Center of Service movement that is seeing tangible long-lasting results.

Amber Scarborough moved from Lubbock to
Austin in 2007 to start her career as an Investment
Advisor and joined Rotary shortly thereafter. She
is a member of the South Austin Rotary Club, she
is a Past President, a Paul Harris Fellow, and a
Roll of Fame Recipient.
Amber’s experience in marketing has come from
running her own independent firm and having to
learn several of these things “on the job.” She will
self-proclaim that “I have no specialty in public
image or marketing, but give me a day to work on
a task and I’ll figure it out!”
She was asked to join the Public Relations team after making some fun I-Movies,
which her son taught her to make in order to promote District Events. She hopes to
inspire other Rotarians to not be afraid of new tools and technology and just jump
right in till you figure it out, “The learning happens when you just start playing
around with it.”
She has served on the District 5870 Central Texas Public Image team since 2015
and in 2020 was asked to serve as an Assistant Rotary Public Image Coordinator
(ARPIC) for Zones 25b and 29.
Rotary has also provided Amber with the opportunity to serve for 3 years as the
District RYLA Camp Director and host 3 amazing Rotary Exchange kiddos over
the years. She loves getting to share with anyone who will listen about the life
changing opportunities that Rotary provides!
