The Rotary motto of “Service Above Self” is the foundation of all that we do as a club.  Through monthly service projects we work together to make a difference in our local community, whether it’s building a playscape at Southwest Key or spreading mulch in a local park with Austin Parks Foundation.  ACRC members welcome the opportunity to get our hands dirty or to raise awareness about a need in our local or global community.

Our active service calendar has an added benefit – through service projects we simultaneously deepen our friendships within the club.

ACRC is also involved in international service projects through our Rotary District (5870) and The Rotary Foundation.  Our global projects fall within one of the following six areas of focus:

  • Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
  • Disease prevention and treatment
  • Water and sanitation
  • Maternal and child health
  • Basic education and literacy
  • Economic and community development

We are currently planning our largest international project to date – drilling a borehole in Ndabibi, Kenya to provide clean water to a medical clinic, primary school, and the entire community. Learn more about our proposed project here.
